President Obama signs Every Student Succeeds Act

New Federal Education Law

On December 10 President Obama signed the Every Student Succeeds Act into law, replacing No Child Left Behind. 'The law commits states and schools, he said, to focus on “the national goal of ensuring all students graduate prepared for college and future careers” and it “requires states to invest in helping students and schools improve the lowest-performing schools and close their achievement gaps.”  Read more . . .

Vote for Measure T and help John Gill school become an even better learning environment for our children!
More than $19M goes to John Gill if this bond measure passes. This bond will add/improve new Kindergarten facilities, science labs, performing arts facilities, shaded outdoor spaces so our children can be in the fresh air but out of the heat, improved safety, increased student capacity, updates to HVAC, plumbing, toilets, kitchen, technology infrastructure, etc.

Location: Sequoia Realty Services, 2125 Broadway Street, Redwood City, CA 94063 
5:30pm to 8:30pm you will be provided with a script to call voters who have already been identified as likely supporters.

2. Precinct Walking -- Saturdays, Oct 3 or 31
Location: TBA
Rally party is at 10am, where you can pick up address/neighborhood assignments and gather handout materials. The actual walking can be done any time during the weekend, on your own time, with your family, etc.

and/or donate to help cover campaign costs (mailers, stickers, etc.).
